Coffee talk to focus on emergency readiness

Battle Ground — Battle Ground Police Chief Bob Richardson and Fire District 3 Chief Scott Sorenson will host their next Coffee with the Chiefs open house from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Battle Ground police station, 505 S.W. First St., and fire station, 507 S.W. First St.

The topic of this open house will be emergency preparedness. Attendees will learn how to best prepare their homes and families for emergencies and disasters, how to receive official alerts and notifications and about the plans and processes the city and Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency use for preparing, responding to and recovering from disasters.
