No one was hurt in a shooting in the Shumway neighborhood Tuesday night, police said.

At about 11 p.m. Tuesday, Vancouver police officers were called to the 3300 block of G Street, in the Shumway neighborhood, after someone heard three gunshots in the area, department spokesman Kim Kapp said.

Upon arriving, they met a man who said he heard noised behind his house earlier.

He went to check what was happening and saw two men near his car. When he approached, the two took off running, Kapp said.

The man chased them, and one of the suspects fired several rounds at him.

The victim was unharmed, Kapp said, and officers didn’t find anyone else hurt or any property damaged. They did find a spent shell casing, she said.

Kapp said it was unclear whether the incident was connected to the shooting and robberies from last weekend.
