A Battle Ground man was killed Wednesday when his motorcycle crashed into a pickup near the rural Meadow Glade neighborhood, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash, reported at 7:13 p.m., occurred at the intersection of Northeast 72nd Avenue and Northeast 159th Street.
A CCSO bulletin said Vadim S. Gensitskiy, 20, of Battle Ground was riding south on Northeast 72nd Avenue when an eastbound 2013 Toyota Tundra pickup driven by James A. Spencer, 62, of Battle Ground pulled into his path at Northeast 159th Street.

BNSF Railway is suing an Oregon-based property developer, claiming the company encroached on its operating corridor while building a subdivision along Vancouver Lake.
Vancouver Cove, an Oregon-based housing developer, is building a subdivision called The Cove at Vancouver Lake along the shore of a Vancouver Lake inlet. The site abuts BNSF tracks near Northwest Lakeshore Avenue.
Ridgefield resident Virginia Roberts was expecting her property taxes to go up this year. After all, they’re going up everywhere.
But when she saw her bill for $4,139.68 — a nearly 30 percent increase from last year — for her and her husband’s three-bedroom ranch home, she was taken aback.
“All of a sudden it’s a thousand dollars we have to figure out how to come up with,” Roberts said. “That’s quite a chunk.”
