Clark County Food Bank depends on volunteers to help feed hungry Clark County residents. To help, call 360-693-0939 or email volunteer@clarkcountyfoodbank.org. The greatest needs are for:

• Food collectors. Drive or ride in a 20-foot box truck to Clark County grocery stores, 7:15 to 10:30 or 11 a.m. weekdays, filling out donation slips and lifting 40- to 50-pound boxes. A commercial driver’s license is not required. A commitment of two shifts monthly is requested.

• Food sorters. Sorters work from 10 a.m. until noon or 1 p.m. weekdays, sorting and repacking food donations in a refrigerated room. A commitment of one shift weekly is requested. Training is provided.

Contact Michele Richardson or Allie Bryant at 360-693-0939 or email volunteer@clarkcountyfoodbank.org for information or to set up a time to volunteer.

The 26th annual Letter Carriers’ “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive seeks volunteers to help letter carriers collect bags of food donations, beginning at 10 a.m. on May 12. The donated food will benefit the Clark County Food Bank and its partner agencies. Last year, 125,535 pounds of food was donated; this year’s goal is 200,000 pounds.

Call Don Young at 360-904-6972 or email postal44@comcast.net with “food drive” noted in the subject line.
