Clark College sophomore Chloe Lindbo won the NWAC Multi Event Championship on Tuesday at Lane Community College in Eugene, Ore, finishing off the heptathlon with 4,498 points.

The Ridgefield High grad posted the third-highest score by a Clark athlete in the heptathlon, topping her previous best total of 4,411 on Clark’s all-time top-10 list.

Clark head track and field coach Bob Williams said Lindbo “improved in the shot put by quite a bit” with a mark of 26 feet, 11¼ inches, which was third-best among the eight women in the competition.

“She worked really hard to improve that,” he said.

On Monday, Lindbo won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.13 seconds to score 825 points, and also won the 200 in 25.68, scoring another 825. She cleared 5-3 in the high jump and with her shot put, Lindbo led by 196 points.

On Tuesday, Lindbo posted a mark of 15-3¼ in the long jump and 85-9 in the javelin, and finished the competition by winning the 800 in 2:19.62.
