Save the Date: April offers music, theater, murder mysteries

April 4: Re-Imagined Radio returns with the first of its five productions. “The Lone Ranger” features local community actors and creative artists performing this original story and tale of female empowerment on an Oregon Trail wagon train at 6 p.m. at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St., Vancouver; $8 to $12. Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle will read parts in the show. The first 100 people to purchase tickets online will receive a free Lone Ranger mask. www.kigginstheatre.com

April 6-21: “Emma: A Pop Musical,” is based on a Jane Austen novel, and follows Emma, a senior at Highbury Prep, who believes she knows best for her classmates’ love lives, and is determined to find the perfect boyfriend for shy sophomore Harriet before the school year ends. April 7: Downtown Ridgefield will transform into a giant Clue board crime scene with a Ridgefield history story on First Saturday. Pick up a detective’s notebook and get briefed on the theft and suspects from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Overlook Park, 113-131 S. Main Ave.; free. April 7: Nearly 40 local musicians will perform at Walking Man Brewing’s Fools Fest, but that’s just a snippet of the fest’s fun. From noon to 10 p.m., enjoy the beer garden, let your kids participate in the games and watch the Skamania Pipers perform a “call to the community” with bagpipes at Walking Man, 240 S.W. April 7: The Khmer Angkor Dance Troupe of Vancouver performs for the Cambodian New Year Celebration, honoring the Year of the Dog.
