Washougal — Rob Pullen, a parent in the Washougal School District, visited students at Gause Elementary School on Feb. 16 to play violin. He played classic arrangements by Bach and other famous composers. He also showed students how to use a multitrack recording in a live performance while playing some Led Zeppelin and AC/DC. “In the second-grade class I observed, students learned about Vivaldi and danced to modern hits played on the violin,” Principal Renae Burson said in a release from the district. “Hopefully, students leave with the realization that music can play a significant role in their lives even if they don’t pursue a career in the arts.”
