Vancouver gymnast Chiles third in all-around at Stuttgart

First international senior competition for Prairie High junior

Vancouver gymnast and Prairie High School junior Jordan Chiles took home the bronze medal from her first international senior gymnastics meet.

The U.S. national silver medalist who trains at Naydenov Gymnastics, was third in the all-around on Sunday at the Stuttgart World Cup in Germany.

The event is the second stop in the International Gymnastics Federation’s all-around World Cup series.

Chiles opened the competition with the highest score on the vault, a 14.666.

She earned scores of 12.900 on the uneven bars and 11.733 on the balance beam.

On the floor exercise, she once again posted the top event score at 13.633 to finish with an all-around score of 52.932.

China’s Zhang Jin was the all-around champion, scoring 53.431. Germany’s Elisabeth Seitz took silver at 53.332.
