• Meals on Wheels People is recruiting 150 volunteers to distribute cards to shoppers at 13 Safeway and Albertsons stores during its Donate Dinner campaign April 5-7. Donate Dinner provides shoppers the opportunity to donate dinner to a homebound senior. Volunteers greet customers and hand them a card that explains how they can help. Volunteer shifts are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.

For a list of participating stores or to register for a shift, email Janice at janice.butzke@mowp.org

• Vancouver Public Schools seeks volunteers to serve as positive adult role models in its Lunch Buddies program. Adult volunteers meet with an assigned elementary school student at lunchtime, once a week throughout the school year, share conversation, and may play a game, do a puzzle or read together. Call 360-313-4730 or email LunchBuddy@vansd.org.
