Clark Talks: Podcast takes listeners inside Clark County Jail

Lobbyist for city Vancouver discusses 2018 legislative session

In this edition of Clark Talks, Columbian reporter Jake Thomas sits down with Clark County Sheriff’s Office Chief Corrections Deputy Ric Bishop to talk about the many challenges facing the jail and the consequences of not addressing them.

Included on the podcast is an audio tour of the jail, where Bishop describes how his staff is overcoming an increasingly antiquated facility.

Later in the podcast, Thomas and news reporter Katy Sword talk with Mark Brown, lobbyist for the city of Vancouver, on the 2018 legislative session.
