BATTLE GROUND — CAM Academy in Battle Ground was closed Monday after a leak in the fire sprinkler system flooded two classrooms.

District spokeswoman Rita Sanders said there were a couple of inches of water in two third-grade classrooms at the campus at 715 N.W. Onsdorff Blvd. Battle Ground.

Water had to be turned off in the building, prompting Monday’s closure. The campus was open Tuesday.

Battle Ground leases the building, so the owner’s insurance will cover the cost of repairs and restoration in the rooms, Sanders said.
