The Battle Ground school district’s bond measure failed to pass in the recent special election, much to the chagrin of district officials and bond supporters. The district plans to try again to pass the bond issue in April.

In the meantime, readers want to know, “When will it be time for the Battle Ground Public Schools to be dividing into smaller districts to better serve constituents?”

That was the winning question in our latest Clark Asks voting round, in which we ask you to help us choose to report an upcoming story taken from a handful of questions submitted by readers.

The question received about 50 percent of the vote, running away with this round. The runner-up captured about 28 percent: “Why are some street signs green, some yellow and some white?”

Following close behind came this question with 22 percent: “Please look into the lack of support for grandparents raising grandchildren in Washington. Why are we offered no type of assistance?”

In the near future, keep your eyes peeled for a story taking a look at the Battle Ground question. You may also see us delve into the other two topics even though they didn’t get picked.

Since we began Clark Asks last summer, we’ve received about 175 questions and have answered close to 20 of them, many of them chosen by readers in voting rounds. You can find the stories online and can submit questions at columbian.com/clarkasks
