July 6: From 5 to 7 p.m. 10 student poets, ranging from second through 12th grades, will read their work aloud as part of “Poetry Moves” at Turtle Place, 811 Main St., Vancouver; free. The selected poems will be featured on C-Tran buses through December 2018.

July 6: The Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps, the oldest and most honored drum corps in the Pacific Northwest, will perform at 7 p.m. at Evergreen High School, 14300 N.E. 18th St., Vancouver; $15 to $65. 360-604-3700.

July 7: The annual Camas Car Show features hundreds of classic, custom cars, hot rods and trucks along the streets of downtown Camas. There will be live music, performances, food and a raffle. Guests who bring two cans of food will receive a free raffle ticket. The event benefits the Inter-Faith Treasure House of Camas/Washougal, and runs from 4 to 8:30 p.m. along Northeast Fourth Avenue. www.downtowncamas.com

July 7: More than 500 booths featuring vintage and new furniture, jewelry, tools, toys, electronics, clothing, household items, baby and kids items, books, fishing tackle, hunting gear, collectibles and much more will be on display at the The Northwest’s Largest Garage Sale & Vintage Sale from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. July 14-15: Enjoy a weekend of local art, live music, food and wine featuring more than 40 area artists selling their work at English Estate Winery’s Art and Wine Fair at the historic farm, 17806 S.E. First St., Vancouver; free. Booths will feature woodwork, jewelry, metalwork, glass art, pottery, stitchery and paintings. Those ages 21 and older can taste wine in The Loafing Shed Tasting Room in the century-old barn. July 14: Vancouver USA Pride, a group dedicated to providing educational, scholarship opportunities and support services for LGBTQ families, children and friends in the greater Clark County area, will lead the area’s Pride Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Esther Short Park, 605 Esther St., Vancouver; free. 360-524-2661.

July 21: A celebration of car culture will take place during Cruise the Couve along Vancouver’s Main Street, as hot rods, classic cars and more cruise between 28th and Fifth streets from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Everyone at the show is encouraged to bring canned food donations to benefit the local food bank. 503-577-6336 or cruisethecouve.net

July 21: Fire in the Park has grown to be the largest childhood injury prevention event in Clark County. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. learn about fire safety, first aid, calling 911, hands-only CPR, emergency preparedness, bike safety and more at Esther Short Park, Eighth and Columbia streets, free. This has kid’s activities and fun characters. July 26-29: Soak up sun while you sample beer from 80 Oregon craft brewers, and eat grub from the six food vendors at Oregon’s Brewer Festival at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, 98 S.W. July 27: Downtown Camas transforms its streets into venues for arts and crafts, live music, food vendors and children’s activities, along with two parades at Camas Days from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. along Northeast Fourth Avenue and several side streets; free. The microbrew street, “A Toast of Camas,” will be open 5 to 11 p.m. both days for those 21 and older, featuring live music. “Kids’ Street” features a rock-climbing wall, fast pitch with radar, 19-foot slide, jump house and a huge inflatable caterpillar. 360-834-2472 or www.downtowncamas.com

July 28: Join Susan G. Komen Oregon and Southwest Washington for a day on the water, featuring Row for the Cure Dragon Boat and crew races, plus demonstrations, expert lessons and more from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vancouver Lake Regional Park, 6801 N.W. Lower River Road, Vancouver; free to watch. Bring your own life jacket. July 28: Magenta Theater will host a fundraiser to replace its tungsten stage-lighting system at Shine a Light on Magenta at 7:30 p.m. at the theater, 1108 Main St., Vancouver; $50. The entertainment will feature the Bluegrass Belles, a bluegrass band consisting of Magenta Theater musicians, a special performance by Magenta Improv Theater, an original one act, and the debut of Magenta Rocks — the company’s new rock choir. 360-635-4358 or www.magentatheater.com

July 26: The Vancouver Symphony begins its 2018-2019 season with a family-friendly, free outdoor concert from 6 to 8 p.m. at Esther Short Park, Eighth and Columbia streets, Vancouver. The concert features the Vancouver Symphony’s more than 70 member orchestra and singers from Opera Quest Northwest.
