The Historic Trust is looking for 100 volunteers to help with the Fourth of July fireworks show. Shifts are four hours long between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Help is needed as gate hosts, first-aid helpers, lost-child helpers, and with check-in. Volunteers receive a T-shirt, parking pass, snacks and water. Corporate groups, individuals and service organizations may apply at www.thehistorictrust.org

City of Vancouver/Clark County Parks and Recreation seeks help on the VINE Squad, removing invasive ivy in parks. Training, tools, gloves, and water supplied. The squad works from 9 to 11 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

Columbia River Mental Health Services is looking for a male urinalysis technician to assist with collection, testing, and documenting samples from male clients, 5:30 to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers may also assist with office tasks in the front office.

Clark College ECD Cooking School and Mature Learning programs seek volunteer help. Cooking School volunteers help with food prep and general classroom duties and Mature Learning needs an office assistant with word processing skills.

Kaiser Permanente Hospice seek volunteers for locations in Clark County. Training, which lasts 28 hours, is required for positions in the Respite Care, Friendly Visitor, and FIDO program, where certified therapy dogs and their handlers work together. Clinic volunteers assist at the information desk, with wheelchairs, and stocking hospitality carts.
