A two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning at an offramp of state Highway 500 sent a 64-year-old Vancouver man to the hospital, according to Washington State Patrol.

The crash happened shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to a WSP crash report.

A silver Toyota Highlander stopped to make a right turn onto Northeast Thurston Way, near Vancouver Mall, after taking the highway’s offramp and was hit from behind by a Subaru Impreza, troopers said.

Bok S. Paek, who was driving the Highlander, was injured in the rear-end crash. Paek was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, the WSP report states. He was not listed at the hospital, however, a hospital spokesman said.

The driver of the Subaru, 38-year-old Elvin I. Padilla of Vancouver, was cited for following too closely.
