1. Pull up

This is one of the few social settings where staring is the appropriate thing to do. The 11th annual Touchmark Car Show will draw thousands of car enthusiasts with cars from 1905 to the current year on display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16 at Touchmark at Fairway Village, 2911 S.E. Village Loop, Vancouver. A full barbecue will be served, with music, and photo booth opportunities. The show is free. Donations are accepted, with all proceeds going to local charities benefiting seniors and veterans, including Meals on Wheels People, Alzheimer’s Association, Parkinson’s Association and other organizations. 360-254-2866 or Touchmark.com

2. Season finale

This isn’t goodbye forever, but it’s goodbye for now. One of the Northwest’s best sopranos, Christina Kowalski, will headline the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s Chamber Music Series’ season finale from 3 to 5 p.m. June 17 at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St., Vancouver; $10 to $25. She will be joined by pianist Dr. Michael Liu with special appearances by soprano Elizabeth Dendy and clarinetist Igor Shakhman. The program includes famous arias and duets by Mozart, Rossini, Offenbach, Delibes and Lehar, as well as works by Tomasi and Barah. 360-735-7278 or VancouverSymphony.org

3. A player’s play

Dating can be pretty complicated, but for a self-styled Parisian lothario named Bernard, it’s mostly been straightforward (and selfish) — until he gets caught in a pickle. Bernard’s flings are front and center at Magenta Theater’s latest comedic play, “Boeing, Boeing,” which runs June 15 through 30 at the theater, 1108 Main St., Vancouver; $20 to $22. Bernard has Italian, German and American fianc?es, who are all airline hostesses with frequent layovers. After unexpected schedule changes, they all end up at Bernard’s apartment at the same time. Performances run at 7:30 p.m. June 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29; 2 p.m. June 23 and 30. 360-635-4358 or MagentaTheater.com

4. A special service

It’s not often someone with royal connections graces Clark County, but that will be the case when the most Rev. Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church, speaks at the 8 to 10 a.m. June 17 service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver; free. Curry is fresh off delivering a sermon at the Royal Wedding, which has made him go somewhat viral recently. The energetic and humorous Curry has also been a guest on TV shows “The View” and “The Today Show” and was played by Kenan Thompson on a “Saturday Night Live” episode. 360-696-0181 or StLukesVancouver.com

5. Displaying pride

The Portland Pride Festival returns from noon to 8 p.m. June 16 and 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 17 at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Southwest Naito Parkway between Southwest Pine and Southwest Morrison streets; $8 donation. View exhibits, visit vendor carts, listen to live music, join the parade and participate in much more. PrideNW.org
