Washington Elementary School was briefly put into lockdown Thursday morning while Vancouver police pursued a wanted person.

According to a Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency dispatcher, officers were searching for someone wanted on an arrest warrant. The dispatcher said the individual was arrested.

Jeramy Bracken, 34, fled from police on foot, said Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp. Bracken faces charges of felony domestic violence-related harassment, possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.

Bracken was booked into Clark County Jail, Kapp said.

Vancouver Public Schools spokeswoman Pat Nuzzo said the lockdown at the elementary school lasted less than 10 minutes.

Students were outside for a field day, so they had to be taken back inside while police pursued the suspect, she said.
