Shumway — First United Methodist Church celebrated its congregational heritage on May 20, honoring members who have been with the church for 50-plus years and/or were at least 90 years old. During the morning service, 63 names were read, including a group of 13 who were both longtime members of the church and at least 90.

The event was followed by a reception in Jason Lee Hall. The oldest congregant, Lynn Irish, 101, was in attendance.
