A Battle Ground teenager caused a crash involving five vehicles early Sunday morning when she ran a red light on state Highway 503, injuring herself and a Vancouver woman, according to Washington State Patrol.

A white Honda Fit driven by Jordin J. Logan was northbound on the highway about 6:40 a.m. when it entered the intersection at Northeast Padden Parkway against a red light. Her vehicle struck the left side of a Black Volkswagen Touareg driving westbound on Padden, according to WSP accident memo.

The Volkswagen SUV, driven by 29-year-old Vancouver resident Lindsay C. Olson, was pushed into three vehicles waiting at the red light in the southbound lanes of the highway, according to the crash memo.

Both Logan and Olson were injured in the crash. They were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center as a precaution, troopers said.

Three vehicles were totaled in the wreck; two others were able to drive away from the scene.

Logan was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device. Troopers do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor.

No charges related to the crash have been filed.

Correction: The above article incorrectly reported that the driver who caused the crash is a male. Jordin J. Logan is female.
