A 54-year-old Vancouver woman died Wednesday when she crashed a motorcycle on a Montana interstate.

Montana Highway Patrol said that the unnamed woman was westbound on Interstate 90 around 3 p.m. when she lost control of the motorcycle for unknown reasons, according to Great Falls Tribune.

“The motorcycle collided with the guardrail on the north side of the road, and the woman was killed on impact,” the Great Falls Tribune reported.

Deputies said the woman was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened near St. Regis, a small town in the western part of the state located on Montana Highway 135, a route to Glacier National Park.
