I-205 Bridge crash causing significant delays

Original article: A car crash in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 205 Bridge on Tuesday morning is causing significant delays for the morning commute.

Responders were dispatched to the crash shortly before 7:30 a.m., according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Arriving firefighter crews reported a two-vehicle crash, with one driver complaining of neck and back pain, according to the scanner traffic.

The crash closed the left lanes of the freeway near the middle of the bridge, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The transportation department estimated the crash would cause delays of 20 minutes to two hours.

Traffic maps shows vehicles slowing to Northeast 83rd Street as of 8 a.m.
