A rollover crash on northbound Interstate 5 near East Fork Lewis River Bridge has traffic backing up to the freeway’s Battle Ground exit.

The crash happened about 12:23 p.m. at Milepost 18.2, according to an alert from Washington State Department of Transportation. It involved an SUV pulling a camper, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Two lanes are blocked, but the scene was being cleared around 1 p.m.

Officials said drivers should use caution and expect delays.

Two people are inside the SUV, according to scanner traffic. They were able to speak with responders and indicated that they did not believe they were seriously hurt.

A responder on scene relayed that the vehicle would need to be stabilized before the occupants could be removed.
