The City of Ridgefield announced in late June that it would be hosting a West Coast League collegiate wood bat expansion team beginning summer 2019.

The WCL President Tony Bonacci, who also owns the Cowlitz Black Bears, owns the team, which is yet to be named. Bonacci recently made his first major hire, nabbing former Trail Blazers corporate sales professional Gus Farah as the team’s first general manager.

Bonacci and Farah sat down with reporters Meg Wochnick and Andy Buhler at The Columbian to discuss what Clark County baseball fans can expect out of the wood bat expansion team.
