Mike Williams, a veteran of The Historic Trust board, has been named interim president and CEO of the agency, which works to preserve historic properties in the Fort Vancouver National Historic Reserve.

Williams will serve while The Historic Trust works with Scion Executive Search on a national search for a permanent leader.

Williams, who spent a career working for Cox Cable and Comcast, also spent 12 years serving on The Historic Trust board. He was retired from Comcast for just one day when duty recently called, according to a statement from The Historic Trust.

“The Historic Trust is at a pivotal point in time as we continue our mission to inspire civic pride and economic vitality through education, preservation, and celebration of our community’s history,” Williams said. “The momentum established by The Historic Trust board is growing, and needs to be kept alive. I will help drive that.”
