Clark County law enforcement arrested six intoxicated drivers during a regional crackdown over the weekend.
The heightened DUI enforcement started Friday, when Vancouver police and Clark County deputies contacted 123 people. Only one person was arrested for driving under the influence on the initiative’s first day, according to a Vancouver Police Department news release.
On Saturday, the officers arrested five drivers on suspicion of DUI, police said.
About two dozen people were ticketed while another 87 were let off with a warning.
The DUI enforcement was possible thanks to a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
