An Amboy couple was injured Friday morning when they crashed their motorcycle into a ditch on eastbound U.S. Highway 12, about 8 miles east of Packwood in Lewis County.

Samuel P. Brock, 50, was riding a 2013 black Harley-Davidson FXD motorcycle with passenger Kimberly A. Brock, 51, shortly after 10:30 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a left turn, left the road, fell into a ditch and struck an embankment.

The motorcycle rolled over, according to a Washington State Patrol crash memo.

Both riders were transported to Morton General Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Troopers determined the cause of the crash was wheels off the roadway. Samuel Brock was charged with driving with wheels off the roadway, the crash memo states.
