Clark County native Kara Winger placed fourth in the women’s javelin on Thursday at the Diamond League meet at Lausanne, Switzerland.

Her best mark of 63.02 meters (about 206 feet, 9 inches), was a season’s best and just 0.26 meters off the top-3 podium.

Winger posted on Twitter: “SB! Thought I had the positions down for round 6 and a big one but tried too hard. Happy overall with having some feeling again!”

Nikola Ogrodnikova of the Czech Republic won with a throw of 65.02.
