Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council. For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3690.

• Clark County Public Works — Parks Division is looking for people to pull English ivy at Leroy Haagen Park, 9 a.m. to noon July 13 and 27, and Aug. 10 and 24. Snacks and water are provided.

• International Experience USA is looking for people to host an international exchange student, or be a local coordinator, matching students with families. For information, call Tracy at 757-427-1964.

• Kaiser Permanente seeks volunteers for its bereavement program, to assist family members after the death of a loved one. The time commitment is two to four hours per week. Training (28 hours) is provided.

• REACH Community Development seeks volunteers for its summer lunch program and kids club. Help serve lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; or assist youth, ages 5 to 15, with arts, crafts and games, 2:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

• Catholic Community Services is looking for drivers to transport low-income, elderly or disabled people to medical appointments, to the grocery store or other essential services. Volunteers must have a safe driving record, insurance, and a safe vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is available.
