Washougal schools, coalition name poster contest winners

Washougal — The Washougal School District and Unite! Washougal Community Coalition announced two winners of the Washougal Middle School Poster Contest: Trinity Nicholson and Skye Miller, both seventh-graders at Canyon Creek Middle School.

The theme for the contest was “Everyday Heroes Unite!” Trinity’s submission will be used as the new logo for the middle school and high school prevention club, HEROES Unite!

There were also six honorable mentions in the contest: Canyon Creek sixth-grader Mia Lockard, Jemtegaard Middle School sixth-grader Claire Zakovics, Jemtegaard sixth-grader Isabella Albaugh, Canyon Creek sixth-grader Kaylee Browning, Jemtegaard sixth-grader Emily Wade and Jemtegaard sixth-grader Jada’lynn Iriarte.
