Eagle Scouts

Five Boy Scouts from the Ft. Vancouver District passed their Eagle Scout Board of Review during April and advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout. Collectively, these Boy Scouts planned and led 642 hours of community service.

• Andrew Karsten Epling of Boy Scout Troop 371, a freshman at iTech Preparatory School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in park cleanup and repairing trails at Lewisville Park in Battle Ground, with 36 volunteer hours. Epling, 14, is the son of Michael and Sara Epling.

• Mark Ethan Dunaway of Boy Scout Troop 315, a sophomore at Skyview High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in placing storm drain medallions for Clark County Public Works, with 49 volunteer hours. Dunaway, 16, is the son of Shane and Michelle Dunaway.

• Taylor Cole Christenson of Boy Scout Troop 310, a senior at Skyview High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in replacing the sign for Brush Prairie Cemetery and building a kiosk for a map of the cemetery’s plots, with 194 volunteer hours. Christenson, 18, is the son of Dianne and Loren Christenson.

• Evan David Patrick Roach of Boy Scout Troop 328, a junior at Hockinson High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building bench/platforms at Vancouver Lake Park, with 156 volunteer hours. Roach, 17, is the son of David and Maria Roach.

• Kyle Matthew Oehler of Boy Scout Troop 367, a junior at Skyview High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in collecting items and producing hygiene kits for the Share House in Vancouver, with 207 volunteer hours. Oehler, 17, is the son of Dan and Sarah Oehler.
