Happy Fourth of July! With no rain in the forecast, the holiday will be great! Highs around 85 degrees, warm but not sizzling. Today we have 75 degrees and another 85 on Thursday. Then we slide downward a bit to the 75- to 80-degree range Friday through Monday.
We had a cool trough of low pressure swing through overnight Sunday and brought 0.02 of an inch of rain to Vancouver. Despite broken clouds and sunshine, we only managed to reach 71 degrees as of 5 p.m. That was below the average high of 77 degrees.
While our weather here in Clark County will be nice, there is a chance of sprinkles along the Washington Coast the next several days. But just a slight chance. If camping or watching fireworks locally or at the coast, you won’t need a Plan B this year.
While we have a forecast of 85 degrees Wednesday, the record high for the Fourth in Vancouver is 95 degrees set just three years ago, in 2015. The record low was in 1916 with a chilly 41 degrees.
