A fire destroyed a trailer parked at Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway on Wednesday afternoon.

No one was hurt, said Capt. Tony Barnes of Fire District 10.

Firefighters were called to the private campground club at 3:20 p.m.

Barnes said the fire burned a roughly 28-foot trailer, along with a shelter, deck and what appeared to be an extra room built around the trailer.

“According to the camp manager, nobody’s been in it for a couple days,” Barnes said. “It’s pretty much all gone.”

No one was hurt, he said, and there was no indication that afternoon what happened to start the fire.

The Clark County Fire Marshal was investigating.
