Brooke Walling scored 19 points and Prairie cruised past Mountain View.

The Falcons held the Thunder scoreless in the first quarter and led by 29 at half.

They had 17 of the team’s 26 steals in the first half.

“Overall we did not shoot the ball very well,” Prairie coach Hala Corral said. “Our shots were just not falling, but our defensive intensity has been great.”

Three Falcons scored in double-digits.

Lauren Vreeken scored 15 points and Cassidy Gardner added 14 for Prairie. Allison Corral and Haley Reed each had six steals.

Olivia Hood led Mountain View with seven points.

Walling was presented with a ball at halftime in recognition of surpassing 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in her Prairie career.

She surpassed 500 rebounds on Jan. 19, and 1,000 points last Friday in a road win over Fort Vancouver.
