The Falcons got off to a fast start and didn’t let up in their quest to gain a share of the 3A Greater St. Helens League title.

Dante Heitschmidt scored 12 of his 15 points in a 28-point first quarter, and Kam Osborn scored a game-high 24 points, nine coming in a 27-point second quarter for the Falcons. And AJ Dixson came off the bench to score 10 points.

“It was just a combination of guys hitting their shots,” Prairie coach Kyle Brooks said, noting his team made eight of their 10 3-pointers in the first half en route to a 55-25 halftime lead.

For Mountain View, Alex Bailey and scored 13 points and Alex Hegel had 12.

Prairie (14-5, 8-1) finishes the regular season on Friday by hosting league-leader Kelso (16-3, 9-0) with a chance to share the league title with a victory.

Kelso won a share of the league title Tuesday with its 65-38 win over Fort Vancouver.
