Girls basketball: Union 53, Heritage 33

Union scored the first eight points of the game and never looked back in its win over Heritage.

The Titans led by four after one quarter, then outscored the Timberwolves 18-3 in the second quarter.

“They came out with some pressure and we had some turnovers,” Heritage coach Karrin Wilson said.

Union was paced by balanced scoring, led by 11 points from Courtney Cranston and 10 from Mason Oberg.

Katie Peneueta led Heritage with 12 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and three blocks.
