Clark County is looking for some residents to talk trash. The Clark County Council is accepting applications for two volunteer positions on the Solid Waste Advisory Commission, a citizen panel that advises the county on issues including recycling, garbage collection, landfills, transfer stations and waste reduction programs.
According to a county news release, one position will represent Clark County north of 179th Street. The other position will represent small cities. Applicants for the second position must live or work in Battle Ground, La Center, Ridgefield, Camas, Washougal or Yacolt.
Commissioners serve three-year terms, and their terms begin when the positions are filled.
According to a county news release, the commission meets at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of February, May, August and November.
The next meeting, however, has been rescheduled for Feb. 8.
Meetings are at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Room 210AB.
