Union had one solution for closing out the game as it led Camas by two points going into the fourth quarter.

Ethan Smith.

Smith finished with seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points—14 of them in the fourth quarter—to help the Titans run away from Camas 73-61 on Friday night.

“When you have a guy shooting like Ethan did and some good passers to give him the ball, it made it really easy,” Union coach Blake Conley said.

Union got a steal off an inbound and found Smith at the top of the key to hit a 3-pointer, forcing Camas to call timeout with Union up 59-50 with under seven minutes to play. The Titans’ barrage of 3s didn’t stop there. They hit 13 3-pointers as a team and outscored the Papermakers by 11 points in the fourth quarter to pull away.

“We went with our best shooting group and fortunately we were able to break down the defense a little bit and find Ethan,” Conley said. “We know how good of a shooter he is, and he showed that in the fourth quarter.”

Isaiah Sampson led Camas with 22 points, and Carson Bonine chipped in 16.
