Union had one solution for closing out the game as it led Camas by two points going into the fourth quarter.
Ethan Smith.
Smith finished with seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points—14 of them in the fourth quarter—to help the Titans run away from Camas 73-61 on Friday night.
“When you have a guy shooting like Ethan did and some good passers to give him the ball, it made it really easy,” Union coach Blake Conley said.
Union got a steal off an inbound and found Smith at the top of the key to hit a 3-pointer, forcing Camas to call timeout with Union up 59-50 with under seven minutes to play. The Titans’ barrage of 3s didn’t stop there. They hit 13 3-pointers as a team and outscored the Papermakers by 11 points in the fourth quarter to pull away.
