Feel the chill in the air yesterday afternoon? Cold air made its way inland and dropped our temperatures into the lower 40s. Snow was expected to fall down to 1,000 feet or so in the foothills overnight and today.
A nice squall with showers and thunderstorms was seen on radar and satellite pictures late Wednesday, and the coast was expected to get thunderstorms and possible water spouts or a brief tornado.
The cold air will moderate this afternoon, with snow in the coast range and preciptation in the foothills changing to a mix of rain and snow, and then just rain.
The next seven days look rather wet and stormy with few breaks in the action. A storm over the weekend could bring several inches of rain falling at lower elevations and along the coast. River flooding is a possibility.
