Ridgefield — To teach her students about working in the food industry, Stefanie Foster, Ridgefield High School’s family and consumer science teacher, hosted a Cupcake Wars competition with her Foods 1 and 2 classes. Students had to research a recipe, conduct nutritional and cost analysis, bake the product and present it customers. Her Foods 1 class had to use a theme of Movies and Foods 2 students were assigned a Winter theme. She based her idea off the television show of the same name, and school staffers served as judges for the competition.
