Crash, road maintenance slow Vancouver commute

A vehicle crash and road maintenance are moderately impeding the Wednesday morning commute in two areas of Vancouver.

Washington Department of Transportation alerts say the crash on eastbound state Highway 500 near Milepost 5.9, right before Fourth Plain Boulevard, is blocking the right lane.

The crash happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. but was cleared within a half-hour.

Local law enforcement did not report on the crash. It’s unknown how many vehicles were involved.

A second alert from transportation officials says maintenance on westbound state Highway 14 at Evergreen Boulevard has that exit closed to all traffic. The closure started around 5 a.m.

Drivers who use the exit are asked to use an alternate route.
