BRUSH PRAIRIE — Community members are invited to view student projects and to test their ability in science, technology, engineering and math at Hockinson Middle School’s STEM Evening of Growth, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the school, 17912 N.E. 159th St., Brush Prairie.

The school’s STEM Ambassadors will be on hand to share their knowledge and show off their projects, such as Rube Goldberg machines and catapults.

Guests will be challenged to build marshmallow-shooting mini-catapults and a town made out of Popsicle sticks and other everyday objects that can support the weight of a tennis ball.
