Girls basketball: Prairie 86, Evergreen 34

Brooke Walling scored 20 of her 28 points in the first quarter, making five 3-pointers in the process, as Prairie won the 3A GSHL contest.

Walling also had 10 rebounds in the game.

Allison Corral posted a double-double for Prairie with 21 points and 10 assists.

“Our goal is to stay focused and do what we have to do to get ready for the playoffs,” Prairie coach Hala Corral said.

Ahna Burney led Evergreen in scoring with 15 points.
