Fairway-164th Avenue — A few veterans brought some much-needed warmth to Fairway Village earlier this winter when they performed a few songs by the Beach Boys.
The group, Gil Stahl, Jim Knight, John Berg, Jim Mewhirter and Duke Silva, performed during the community’s Veterans Day program.
They all wore Hawaiian shirts, leis, bucket hats and shorts. The performance was a return for these Beach Boys, as they’re known during their shows.
They also performed 10 years ago at the same event.
