Girls basketball: Hudson’s Bay 65, Evergreen 57

Jaydia Martin scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help propel Hudson’s Bay past Evergreen.

The Eagles held a comfortable lead throughout the second half. Evergreen cut it to six with four minutes to go, but Bay held on.

Kamelai Powell had 11 boards and Stacia Mikaele added 10 rebounds for Bay.

“We’re getting much better balance,” Hudson’s Bay Michael Rainville said.

Marina Pasquin and Alanna Jackson each had 14 points and Ahna Burney added 11 for Evergreen.
