The Clark County Genealogical Society will offer a four-session workshop on turning oral history into a published book.

The class — titled “Your Story, Your Book” — begins at 10 a.m. on Jan. 25. All two-hour Saturday sessions will held at the Clark County Genealogical Society’s education center, 715 Grand Blvd., Vancouver.

Other sessions (also from 10 a.m. to noon) will be on Feb. 1, Feb. 8 and Feb. 15.

Instructor Bob Ferguson will help attendees polish their organization and writing skills while progressing to a publishing program that will combine text, photos and covers in full color.

The interactive workshops will move your story along to becoming a 40-page book ready for publishing in a professionally bound book with copyrights and ISBN number. Cost per book is about $2.50.

Cost is $48 for Genealogical Society members and $60 for nonmembers. Mail check and registration form (www.ccgs-wa.org) to P.O. Box 5249, Vancouver, WA 98668-5249 or call the society at 360-750-5688.
