Matthew Kent scored 19 points, including 10 in the first quarter, as Seton Catholic earned a Trico League home win.

Kent fueled a fast start for the Cougars, which led 19-6 after one quarter. Isaiah Parker added 11 points and Hayden Miller had 10.

Seton Catholic (2-8, 1-2) held Stevenson’s Issac Hoidal to 17 points, below his 27.9 points per game average.

“It was a team effort,” Seton coach Phil Kent said. “We knew we were going to have to keep him and (Lincoln) Krog under wraps. Once they get by you on the drive, they always finish. Our whole mission was to keep them in front of us.”
