Shaw Anderson scored 22 points and Riley Noah added 21 as visiting Kelso held off Evergreen in a 3A Greater St. Helens League game.

Evergreen (5-7, 1-2) trailed 34-27 at halftime, but pulled within two points in the third quarter. But Kelso (9-3, 3-0) held on thanks to shooting 20 for 23 from the free throw line, with Anderson going 10 for 10.

“We could not get a shot to drop from outside,” Evergreen coach Brett Henry said. “Our pressure zone created a lot of turnovers. It really kept us in the game.”
