Jacob Hjort scored 18 points with four 3-pointers as the Columbia River boys basketball team topped Hockinson 66-47 on Monday at Hockinson.
Jack Armstrong had 15 points and Nasseen Gutierrez had 10 for the 2A Greater St. Helens League-leading Chieftains (11-2, 5-0 2A GSHL).
“River shot really well, and not all their shots were uncontested,” Hockinson coach Jon Warner said. “Their height helped and they executed.”
Columbia River held the Hawks (4-8, 2-2) to nine points in the first and third quarters.
Mason Panfiglio led Hockinson in scoring with 17 points. Micah Paulsen and Peyton Brammer each had 11.
