Girls basketball: Hockinson 71, Ridgefield 35

Emma Dietel scored a game-high 20 points to go with eight rebounds and five steals for Hockinson (6-4, 2-1 2A GSHL).

After finished the first quarter tied at 11, Hockinson held Ridgefield (2-9, 0-3) to 12 points in the second and third quarters combined thanks to pressure defense.

Grace Russell had 14 points, five steals, six assists and two blocked shots; Payton Wangler scored 12 points to go with five assists;  and Jasmine Shigeno provided a spark off the Hockinson bench with 10 points.

Ridgefield was led by Madalyn Chapman’s 11 points.
