A man struck in a crosswalk Friday night in Orchards remained in serious condition Tuesday.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, a driver struck Uriah Schlosser as Schlosser attempted to cross the street at Northeast 137th Avenue and Northeast 76th Street, at around 6:20 p.m.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Alex Schoening said a driver heading south, with a green light, struck Schlosser as he went to cross 137th.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Brent Waddell said Schlosser was hospitalized with head and pelvis injuries, along with other internal injuries.

Schlosser was listed in serious condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Tuesday afternoon, according to the hospital.

Schoening said the sheriff’s office traffic unit was still investigating the crash. The driver who struck Schlosser, 71-year-old Roni Gustafson of Battle Ground, has not yet been cited and has been cooperating with investigators. There’s no evidence driver impairment was a factor.

Witnesses told deputies Schlosser appeared to be shuffling and moving in and out of the roadway before being struck.
